A business owner faced certain reverses, and it was evident that he'd have to cut back on his staff.

He had three staff associates; as a test of character, he put an extra $1000 in each one's pay and sat back to see what would happen.

The first one noticed the extra $1000 in her pay, but she never said a word about it.

The second one came in at the end of the week and she said, "There was an extra $1000 in my pay last week. I invested it in the futures market and made $4000. Here's your $1000 back plus 25% of the profits."

The third one noticed the overpayment immediately; she came right in and pointed out the mistake.
